The 2nd Philippine Digital Nomad Summit
Bangus Nomad Community in the Philippines
What’s up, Bangus Nomads?
Happy Wednesday. Jayson here.
I’m still in awe of the magical island of Siquijor, and I will be returning. If you’ve been with me since day 1 of this journey, you know that I am on a mission to live, work and explore the 82 beautiful provinces of the Philippines and spot “Bangus-Nomad friendly places” along the way.
Siquijor marks my 22nd province -60 more to go. Thank you to all the nomads and local businesses supporting me on this adventure.
My favorite spots in Siquijor
This week, I want to highlight the 2nd Philippine Digital Nomad Summit, where I had the pleasure of discussing the perks and compensation of being a Bangus Nomad. (Please send me a message on IG if you’re interested in attending the next one—probably in Palawan or Davao)
Here are some highlights from my Siquijor experience:
This could have been an excellent experience if some of you were coliving with me :)
1. Cambugahay Falls – A must-visit! These multi-tiered waterfalls are perfect for a refreshing swim, complete with rope swings for a bit of fun. The turquoise waters and lush green surroundings make for an unforgettable natural escape.
2. Salagdoong Beach – Known for its crystal-clear waters and cliff-jumping spots, Salagdoong is ideal for thrill-seekers and beach lovers alike. The white sandy shores and coral reefs also offer a beautiful spot for snorkeling and beachside relaxation.
3. Lazi Church and Convent – Dive into history at one of the oldest and largest convents in the Philippines. The grand architecture and peaceful ambiance of this Spanish-era site offer a look into the island’s rich cultural past.
Thank you again for being part of this journey, and cheers to exploring more hidden gems across the Philippines!
Since starting this journey, I’ve had the incredible privilege of meeting so many fellow digital nomads from all walks of life. Connecting with like-minded individuals who understand the highs and lows of remote work has been a huge inspiration behind launching Bangus Nomad.
The support and camaraderie from our community have shown me just how powerful this lifestyle can be, and I’m more optimistic than ever about the future of digital nomadism in the Philippines.
For now, I’m pausing our weekly Wednesday dinners to focus on something bigger—but if you’re around Makati, BGC, or QC, let’s connect on IG (iamjasondee) I’d love to cowork or grab dinner with you while we’re in the same area.
Also, I have something exciting in the works: a 5-day coliving experience this March with fellow Bangus Nomads. It’s a chance to connect, work together, and explore with a supportive community. Interested in joining?
Just reply to this email with:
• Name
• Contact Number
• City/Province
• Will you join the 5-day coliving? (Yes, No, or Maybe)
Looking forward to connecting and building more unforgettable experiences together!
